From mid 2009 Ditting has been gathering experience with the new 3D printer uPrint. Customer-oriented solutions are being implemented even more efficiently and professionally. The step from design to final solution is accelerated massively and creates safety for the cast tool order.
The material
The plastic used is able to withstand function tests under real conditions. When in use, the component delivers results, which come very close to the respective end product. The components can also be finished mechanically without any problems. Milling, turning or drilling, can perform this. The material used is foodstuff compatible and can be used without hesitation for pilot series.
Limits
As the material is built up in layers, the component is not quite so sturdy in certain areas. So depending on the orientation, very fine parts are not always dimensionally stable.
Projects:
ProD - ProM
Housing parts of the whole grinder were printed, varnished and presented at trade fairs. At the same time the design was tested and the tools could be ordered respectively.
Outlet EK7
In order to find the optimum design for the new outlet, the construction was developed and tested step by step from the first idea to the finished component.
Installation tools
Pilot series are already installed with mounting devices. This way the process can be optimised already at the early stages. The effective assembly aids are subsequently produced from metal.
